Book a SessionMore Than Just an After School Club
Movement Matters runs after school parkour and movement clubs across the Wirral for children and young people aged 7 to 17. Unlike traditional after school sports clubs, our sessions use parkour-based movement education to develop balance, coordination, spatial awareness, confidence and emotional regulation.
While football clubs focus on competitive team sport and gymnastics prioritizes technical mastery, Movement Matters takes a different approach. We create an inclusive environment where every child can progress at their own pace, building real-world movement skills they can use every day. Parkour teaches problem-solving, creativity and risk assessment—essential life skills wrapped in genuinely fun, engaging activity.
Physical Development
Balance, coordination, spatial awareness and strength develop naturally through movement exploration. Every child builds these skills at their own level, with no pressure to compete.
Confidence & Resilience
Overcoming challenges in a supportive environment builds genuine self-belief. Children learn to try, fail, learn and improve—developing resilience that extends far beyond movement.
Social Connection
Friendships form naturally as children work together, encourage each other and celebrate progress. Our clubs create real community among families across the Wirral.

What Happens in a Session?
Every session follows a structured, progressive approach designed to keep children engaged, challenged and having fun.
Warm-Up & Activation
We start with dynamic movement to prepare bodies and minds, often turning warm-ups into playful challenges that set the tone for the session.
Skill Development
Coaches guide children through carefully sequenced parkour fundamentals—vaults, jumps, balance techniques and spatial awareness. Everyone progresses at their own pace with tailored guidance.
Creative Challenges
Children apply skills to real-world scenarios, exploring outdoor environments, problem-solving and building confidence in their movement ability.
Cool-Down & Reflection
We end with stretching, breathing and a moment to celebrate progress—reminding children that every improvement counts.
Led by qualified, DBS-checked coaches. All equipment is provided. Your child will feel safe, supported and genuinely excited to return each week.
