Learn more about CPDHow Does Parkour Improve Focus and Wellbeing?
Our sessions are built on research from physical intelligence, sports science and wellbeing studies. Everything we teach is designed around how the body and mind work together.
Vestibular Activation
Movement activates the vestibular system, improving balance, spatial awareness and emotional regulation. This helps pupils feel grounded and ready to learn.
Neural Pathway Development
Progressive challenge builds neural pathways for problem solving and resilience. Each session introduces new obstacles that develop cognitive flexibility.
Neurochemical Benefits
Playful physical activity releases neurochemicals that support focus, mood and learning readiness. Pupils return to the classroom energised and regulated.
Body Confidence
Parkour develops functional strength, coordination and body confidence without competition pressure. Every pupil progresses at their own pace.
What Schools Say
Movement Matters delivered Parkour sessions to approximately 110 pupils across the day and the quality of delivery was excellent throughout. The sessions were very well planned, clearly structured and delivered in a way that kept all pupils actively engaged from start to finish. What stood out was how inclusive and adaptable the sessions were. The delivery worked well across mixed ability groups and supported pupils who do not always thrive in traditional PE settings.
PE Lead, Raeburn School
The coaches were well prepared, professional and calm, and they created a safe and accessible environment for our pupils across a full enrichment day of five Parkour sessions. What stood out most was how inclusive the delivery was. They were able to adapt the activities in a way that allowed pupils with a wide range of needs to access and enjoy Parkour.

Ahead of the Curriculum
Parkour is now being recognised within the National PE Curriculum. Movement Matters already delivers this style of training, placing us ahead of upcoming curriculum changes and ready to support schools who want to offer high quality Parkour based education.
Our sessions develop strength, resilience, focus and problem solving in a way that is engaging, inclusive and rooted in real world movement.
Building the Future of Movement Education
We are working with Liverpool John Moores University to develop a dedicated Centre of Excellence for movement and community wellbeing on the Wirral. A purpose built space for training, research and youth development.
